Risk and Compliance

Hello Sirius Family,

Welcome back to all our students and parents for another exciting school year. My name is Stephen Clemence and I have been the Risk and Compliance Coordinator at Sirius College for about a year. It is my role within Sirius College to ensure the safety of our students, maintain risk management systems and upholding best practice to support a positive safety, risk and compliance culture.

I would like to thank all parents and students for your efforts in following all health advice and for remaining adaptable and vigilant in navigating this difficult times. At the beginning of last year, concepts such as “lockdowns,” “mask mandates” and “social distancing” were unknown to most of us. Today they are part of our everyday language as the COVID-19 pandemic continues to impact all aspects of our lives.

This year we are continuing to uphold our high standards in preventing potential spread of the COVID pandemic. While case numbers are low at the moment, it is important that we all work together to reduce the risk. We must all keep a close eye on any new developments from the government and watch for symptoms within our families. If your son is presenting COVID like symptoms, it is essential that you contact the school, keep your son at home and complete a COVID test.
